BRUCE SMITH AUTOGRAPHED 8X10 PHOTO WON HEISMAN 1941 Rare 8x10 photo on heavy stock photographic paper. The finest example I've ever seen. Boldly signed in green fountain pen. Of all Heisman winners Smith is considered the 2nd TOUGHEST autograph to obtain after Nile Kinnick with the rarely offered Smith items being signed with his first name only and almost always vintage items only. American football halfback. He played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1941. During World War II, he served as a United States Navy fighter pilot. After the war, he played in the National Football League (NFL) with the Green Bay Packers (1945–1948) and the Los Angeles Rams (1948). He died of cancer in 1967.
