My first thought is it's probably a Desmond fake. I wonder how they were able to feel confident the back is legit.

I thought the same thing but if Andy (hey Andy) graded it, then it's fine. He is the one that originally found the T213-1s to be fake, from Desmond, if I recall correctly.

That said, there is always a good chance someone else at CGC graded it.

Default T206 Schirm Carolina Brights

Interesting card. According to the T206resource.com website the T206 Schirm with Carolina Brights is a no print.

Thanks everyone. I addressed the “no print” in the article.

I also talked about how I am awaiting comment from Andy, but he is without power due to Milton.

I just caught myself up on the Desmond scandal (it occurred during my hobby hiatus). Wow.

I agree with Luke, Pat, and Art…. It’s a reback that found its way into a holder.
Be well Brian

Desmond goes way back at least to 1996. See VBCC #7.

Hi Peter,

I have this issue and just flipped through it. Did read it cover to cover last year.
What page are you referring to. Maybe I missed it in the cleaning / restoration or grading topics stories in it?

Thanks,

At this point It appears that CGC made an error that they're not willing to publicly admit. Hopefully if the card does come up for sale anyone thinking of buying or bidding on it will find this thread.
