Look this card over and you will see that it's some town. Suppose you have all the game killed off by this time. How is the family. Will be back in Det[roit] in about ten days. Do you want any credit for the $870.00

"Watty's Pet" is Sam kidding with Boss. Bill "Watty" Watkins was the manager of the Minneapolis Millers for 1904-05 when Boss played for them (before Detroit snatched him away).

I wonder what that $870 was about though???
