Ed Allan produced an illustrated checklist of Baltimore Orioles team issued postcards beginning with the 1954 B&W postcards. He developed the lists with the help of some long time postcard collectors, that had kept records over the years. These collectors included names like Dan Even, Bob Thing, Milt Herbert, Wayne Johnson, Ron Menchine and others. Ed's book is generally considered the bible on Orioles postcards.
There are three color postcards, including the Bob Grich, listed in his book as 1969, but here is how the book describes them.
"1969 - Borderless Color Postcards (3 1/2 x 5 1/2) with white name box across bottom front. Backs are blank. The 1969 uniforms were white with "Orioles" in orange script across the front. The collars had an orange stripe with a black stripe inside. White is seen above the stripes. The caps were black with orange bills and has the cartoon bird on the front. Occasionally a white sleeveless jersey was worn over a black shirt. The actual year that these were produced is still in question. "
That said, I've seen some of these postmarked as late as 1974. I'm guessing 1970-72 is probably a better range.
