Default Ebay seller..."it's him because I said so".

I know this gets covered often but it still grinds me. This ebay seller is selling CDVs and Cabinet Cards of "famous players" just because they look a smidge like the player. He has loads for sale right along with some legit items. Has 100% feedback which just makes it that much easier for the unsuspecting to be lured in.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?item...yrodgersrelics

I asked him about provenance:

Screenshot 2023-08-17 at 1.30.01 PM.png

Apparently it is up to the BUYER to determine if HE is telling the truth about the cards he is selling. Feel free to ask him some questions if you'd like.

Wasn't this seller on here trying to convince people at one point? This "Honus Wagner" is beyond ridiculous:

He seems to always have a ton of cabinets and CDVs of Hall of Famers. They are usually always in street clothes. Right now he has multiple Wagners and Kellys.

He offers "photo matches" for each of his items. Here is his match for one of his Wagners and Kellys. He calls his Wagner his "1902 Sporting Life/1903 Breisch-Williams pose." LOL

This fraudster has been scamming people for years. It’s amazing that some people are actually stupid enough to buy his items and he has some of these fakes in his eBay sold history. His boxing identifications are sometimes even worse than his baseball. He surely knows exactly what he is doing.

He sold a "Paddy Ryan" recently. It was one of these 3. I thought maybe one of the 3 boxing collectors on here bought it. I didn't realize anyone else collected boxing cards.

If close counts I will sell this Christy Mathewson RPPC for an extremely outrageous offer.

Haha it cracks me up. I wish there was a laughing face for Ebay listings like they have on Facebook.

This clown has come on here a few times trying to pull that same excrement. No one bit as the circus had already left town. He must be related to evajoy!

Oh, come on that totally looks just like Honus. You just need to close your eyes to see the resemblance.

About as much as Wee Willie Keeler looks like Willie McCovey. They both had teeth!

I know they could be twins.

But seriously I think even Stevie Wonder would be skeptical of this guys identifications.

I really think the guy is just messing around. There's no honest way he believes his own stories or expects someone to drop six figures on any of these. Really?

I hope he finds a photo of Bebe Neuwerth and tries to sell it as Stevie Wonder.

That just can't be.
From his $150k Wagner photo listing, he said:

I should be stunned if a soul on earth disagreed this is Honus Wagner.
