Default Saturday National Report

Saturday report normal routine here at the “suite”. Hotel breakfast, then at the venue for the 9:30 VIP entry. Boy I’ve basically seen everything I think. I stopped by Net54 member Donscards table, and he had a 1935 National Chicle football card of Bronco Nagurski new to his inventory SGC 1, but I’ve never spent that kind of money on a single card. My plan always was to finish the set without Nagurski. A guy can dream can’t he? So I left and bought a few cards nothing much. Then disaster as I misplaced my paper wantlist that I’d been updating all week. I backtracked but no luck I can’t find it my phone number is on the list but nobody called. So I’m not going to be buying much today as my updated list is MIA.
I keep thinking about that Nagurski card back at Dons table. I have the money (in my checking account) so I can afford it and after a couple hours of thinking about it I make my way back to the 600 row and purchase the card. Prior agreement was to give Don $1,000 in cash and then mail him the balance via personal check. Don would mail me the card after receipt of my check. Well Don surprised me and let me take the card home thank you very much Don!
We left the show 1/2 hour early, tonight the big OBC swap session here at n our hotel lobby. I didn’t sleep well last night and I’m exhausted. Not sure if I will even go to the show tomorrow but my flight isn’t until 6pm so I’ll guess we will see…

Always great to see a collector pick up one of the iconic cards in the hobby, no matter the grade. Congratulations.
