Reprint Ryan Auto ?

Hi sharing that I traded for a Ryan package this past weekend at a show.

One of the items was a Reprint RC with on Card Auto. (Photo here). I was looking in bright light and I am not feeling that it is an on card auto vs reprint of the auto rc card.

I saw on ebay that psa actually grades these RC reprints for autos?

Has anyone else seen the full Ryan RC auto reprint floating around?

Also, is there any way to know for sure other than to send to an authenticator?

The other items were legit, so only currently half sick about it right now

Shine it under a bright light or a black light and see if the ink is live (actual marker). If not, it's printed on. If you can't tell, then use a jewelers loupe to see if the signature is printed on.

That does not look like live ink - it looks more like it came out of a printer. Would need to have the card in hand though to be 100% sure.

They sell this exact card on Etsy. Looks exactly the same. I’m sure there are originals out there but since they sell this exact one on Etsy???? There is so much bogus crap sold on there that finds it’s way into collections and here we are.

Ehh. I sent the regular rookie in for grading (not pictured here)....we'll see...$22 to grade it w scg.

This was pitched as reprint card, on card auto....I used the loupe at home and the signature over the black by Ryan's shoulder is just black...no marker line...so fake;(

Been seeing these passed off in lots of legitimate cards. The last one was an Judge RC image variation. It was passed off in a lot of real cards as well. The color on the back was off on that one. They throw all those other cards in there to throw you off the scent of the bogus card. Sucks. I’m wary of buying lots off random people.

...and to make it worse....just back from SGC......the other original 1968 Topps Ryan was returned not graded....signs of trimming? Wtf...new (learning) for me to check card size live with vintage.

Carry a jewelers loupe, check feel, check size.

Anyone want to buy a centered topps , slightly trimmed 1968 Ryan?.... I'll throw in a free rookie Ryan replica w replica auto...a 20 value ( for the fake auto) on etsy...
