I've seen this listing before. It pops up every now and then for the same crazy price. It's a gorgeous card, no doubt, but not $229K gorgeous.

What do you think a fair value is on a card like this? Probably one of the highest graded T206s on the planet and of one of the tougher cards in the set.

I agree it seems like a ridiculous price but what do you expect the card is worth? $50k?

As for value, since there no comps the only way to know is to put it in a high profile auction.

The Wentz brothers have had this variation in their inventory for years and the price has never changed. I recall about 25 years or so ago when they entered the dealer market and made a minor splash with some beautiful prewar baseball cards and sold many at their astronomical prices. Now it seems they are more into Canadian hockey cards.

I am kind of surprised they are still in business.
