Vintage Phillips 66 Erie Gas Pump Ad
Offered here is a very interesting ad/signage for Erie Metered System Gas Pumps Featuring Phillips 66 . On top it reads Erie Meter Pumps In Phillips Colors. On the back is a spec sheet . The full color add shows two pumps the U 753 in green and orange , which looks like a two piece with a globe on top the says Ethyl and another that is solid that has the Phillips 66 logo on top. Under the pumps is the Underwriter Approved with the Erie logo and addresses in Erie, Penna. and Tulsa Okla. The spec sheet on back is for both models but shows a exploded see thru diagram of pump U 753 - Z "Curb Type" and U 753 Island type. The frame is red and seems original or painted long ago. It is 12 1/4" high and 9 1/4" wide making me think the ad piece inside is 12" x 9". I believe this would hang in an old gas station or Petroliana collectors house. Very cool interesting piece with glass causing a slight reflection on the straight on photo
