FS 1960s Arnold Palmer Enterprises Postcard SGC 8 possibly pre-dating his RC
There is information to suggest that this postcard promoting Arnold's putting courses/driving ranges may pre-date the card which is generally considered to be Palmer's rookie, his 1965 Bancroft Tiddlers. For one thing, the picture is from the 1962 US Open, more importantly, Arnold Palmer Enterprises dates back to 1961. Also note the printer's number 62165 on the back, not my expertise but the 62 may stand for 1962. As you can see, SGC does not specifically date the issue, perhaps because of uncertainty over whether these continued to be printed for some time. In any event, a very early Palmer (his only other issue from the 1960s besides Bancroft Tiddlers as far as I know is the essentially nonexistent 1968 Mira Tuttosport).
Earlier this year one of these, also graded SGC 8, sold on ebay for $750. No other sales identified in VCP.
