Everybody knows a big part of the appeal of the T206 is the countless ways to approach the set. Most people find 520 to be too daunting, and only pursue a portion of the overall set. Whether it's Hall of Famers, Portraits, Southern Leaguers, Piedmonts, horizontals, or sunsets, there are as many subsets as there are cards in the set. My simple question is "What's your favorite t206 subset"?

I like Brown Old Mills, because they are mistakes that were scrapped, only found with certain southern leaguers, and they are super rare.

Great topic! I collect several subsets, but I’m most drawn to the Hindus. I’ll never complete the Reds, but I’d love to someday finish the Browns. I’m just over 100 total at this point. Here is my Tinker-Evers-Chance trio along with a brown and red Cy.

I'm not a T-206 guy but I'm slowly building a HOF Piedmont portrait group.

I have always been drawn to the colorful/multi-color background half-body 'action' poses, like these attractive ones shown below, especially the ones that have multi sunset colors.

Since I collect Jersey City Skeeters team cards, my JC subset is my favorite from T206.

Good luck Sonny, that's a great project. I notice that the Tinker and Chance are a dull red. That seems to be common with Hindus for some reason. Quite a few of the red backgrounds look light. Some even appear copper colored.

We know that the majority of what was at the time considered missing red ink t206's were actually chemical/sun related. Sweeney.jpg Sweeney Back.jpg Pickering.jpg Pickering back.jpg I think some chemical in the brown ink had an affect especially on the Red colors. Here's a Beaumont that was pasted in an album at one time that I think the glue enhanced the affect of the reaction from the brown ink. Beaumont.jpg Beaumont back.jpg |
