Bump, price reduction. Will start to post some of the cards here and gradually reduce the price over time if I get no takers, starting with the Mick.

Bump, price reduction, will keep reducing and showing new cards until I can reduce no more. Today it's the beautiful 1957 Brooks Robinson Rookie card!

Thank you. I appreciate it. I just don’t have the energy to do a set break and all the effort that goes into it. But if I sell it I will definitely want to buy back a few of the cards.

Bump, price reduction. Today's card, Ted Williams, no longer a kid, but still hit .388 that year.

Another day, another price reduction and another card. This time it's a really nice PSA 4 Willie Mays. Never been able to figure out how this got a 4. The surface is solid. Anyway, have had some good discussions from some cool collectors, but the set remains available.

Bump, Price reduction. Today, one of my favorite cards in the entire set, the Bobby Richardson RC. The lighting on this one with the old courthouse in the background is quite nice I think.

Bump, price drop. I guess I have a thing for the PSA 5.5 grade. It means the card is actually better than Excellent! Here's a really nice balanced Ex+ '57 Ernie Banks that comes with the set. Have a good weekend, y'all.

Bump, and another price drop. Some of my favorite '57 Topps cards are up close head portraits, such as the Yogi above, Koufax, Drysdale, and Clemente. One of the more underrated cards of the set is this great shot of Ed Mathews, card #250. Maybe the nicest Mathews this side of the '52 Topps card IMO.

A little bump and a little price reduction. Today, the much beloved Big Klu card. Now there's a guy who liked baseball and liked posing for baseball cards. This is a very sharp card, albeit a bit o/c.

Bump, reduced. Today's theme, two guys who had success as players on the grandest stage MLB has ever seen and then went onto have success as Managers. Both are huge HOF snubs IMO, especially Hodges.

After a much-needed day off, I have reduced the price again. Today's update is the Roberto Clemente. I should mention there's a small wrinkle coming up from the bottom of this card. Not one of the stronger cards of the set, but still nice eye appeal on the 3rd year card of this baseball legend.

Bump. Price reduction. Today the Hank Aaron. Note, the PSA 4 is what officially comes with the set. However, for the right deal I can sub in the nicer SGC7 Aaron, also pictured below.

Bump, price reduction. I have decided to post this on eBay. The set remains available and I still have some wiggle room for the right buyer. Thanks to all who reached out as well as those who commented on the thread. I'll give this a bump from time to time as I still hope to deal this set at some point. Meantime, here's the entire suite of graded cards plus a couple of nice ungraded ones (Spahn and Bunning). Happy collecting.

Bump, price drop. Here's the only SGC graded card in the set, this nice Bobby Shantz card from the challenging series 4.

I've got a rooting interest in you getting this sold, I have this set too. I've been watching since you first posted and you've got some great cards.

What value do you place just on the +/-20 cards you've shown so far? You've got to be getting close to the set value just in the PSA graded cards.

Best of luck!

Thanks Dave. I don’t really have a specific value in mind for each card. I could theoretically do better with a set break but I don’t have the time to put into that sort of project. Definitely motivated to sell it and find a deal that works for the right buyer. Ultimately the market always speaks and thus far it’s told me the price is either too high or if there’s a buyer at current asking they haven’t found me yet. It’s a fun project and I know it’s a good quality set from top to bottom. Still room to work with people on the price. Not completely opposed to partial trades either.

I keep coming back to this set, so tempting. I’m knee deep in my 52/54T sets currently, so not the best timing. Unfortunate, as this is the next set on my radar.

8500 is very fair for this. Complete sets BIN in this range usually seem to take a long time to be sold, even in the current market. But they usually don't have the centered ex mt-ish extra sharp eye appeal of this one, so I'm still surprised that no one has jumped on it yet.

When I still needed a '57, I would've definitely worked to strike a deal with you on it (with the thought of having it as a jewel of my PC)

Thanks for the positive reinforcement there. Gonna drop the price again and add a couple of photos. This is how I store the set, and the good thing is that it fits snugly into this box. Always great to hear from fellow collectors and hope y'all have a good 2021.

Whelp, I thought I might have a sale, but this set remains available. Dropping the price a little bit more and showing 3 of my favorite mid-range cards in the set. 2nd year Aparicio, Colavito RC and a real nice Ashburn. The Ashburn card has this wonderful purple tint, for Phillies fans...

Rooting interest on this also. Have a similar set in Ex/Mt with less graded cards but they are psa 6 for the most part. I think the Mantle is 4.5.

Giving a bump and a final price drop. I don't anticipate any price drop after this, but I am open to side negotiations and can move on local deals. If this doesn't work it might be set break time in a week or two. Below, showing what I believe to be most valuable ungraded card in the set, a solid Jim Bunning Series 4 RC, or what I like to refer to as the poor man's Brooks Robinson RC (because they are both series 4 and both have that nice amber background)

Bump, trying to set the net54 record for most views without a sale (although I'd gladly give the record up for a sale).

Update. I'm bored and was sorting through the set and wanted to share this standout Warren Spahn. The card would probably grade a 4, but it's one of those 4s that you want to own. Near perfect centering and great clarity. It doesn't hurt that Warren Spahn was one of those guys who was so damn ugly that he was good looking. Small price decrease as well.

I wasn't planning on selling it, but I do have other Hank Aarons. I am in negotiations with someone asking for that card in addition to the set for a bit more than my current asking price.

I always felt Hank and Willie Mays would close some of the gap in their card prices to The Mick (with the exception of '51-'52 Mick of course) and I think we're seeing that now. Henry Aaron was such a soft-spoken and classy individual. Very sad to see him go as he was a big part of what made the 50s to 70s the real golden era of baseball IMO.

Update: the saga continues. I don't think this set is going to last much longer. A 1957 Hank Aaron PSA 4 sold for $430 on eBay last night. Incredible. The Mays card is also skyrocketing. The others aren't going down. Get this before it's going.....going.....GONE.
