So I am not familiar with them but I have 2 incoming.
Are these really hard to find like I've heard and is there much interest from collectors? Last edited by avalanche2006; 06-19-2020 at 07:53 PM. |

I have collected the Cubs team set the last few years and it has been expensive and painstaking, I still need Andy Pafko. I believe the Cubs and the White Sox are the rarest teams in the set.

Extremely difficult set, can't be many collectors with complete ones out there, team or full.

The Baseball Card Exchange says that the Chicago teams, Cubs and White Sox, the Boston teams, Braves and Red Sox, and the Detroit Tigers are the toughest teams but doesn't say if any are tougher than the others. I missed a Pafko that sold for a $100 Buy It Now on eBay back in March, someone probably grabbed it immediately.

Was this set (the 47 TIP Tops) ever reprinted?

I have been collecting this set for 5 years now... yes, very difficult. The St. Louis teams seem to have the most cards available. Personally, I have been able to locate most of the Chicago players. I have been struggling finding cards from New York Giants, Boston Braves, Boston Red Sox & Pittsburgh Pirates.
I like the set. Love to trade duplicates with anyone else out there who also might be collecting.

I was looking for them at the National last summer and didn't find much, though I did get one:

Thanks for all of the responses. All of the cards posted are in better condition than mine. Both of mine, Kell and Outlaw, are even SP but have big horizontal creases.
