Historic Briggs Stadium Detroit News Photo taken Dec. 27, 1960

This historic black and white photo was taken two days after Christmas in 1960 by a professional photographer "Styrlander" of the Detroit News photo staff.

This is likely one of the last photos of historic Briggs Stadium, since in 1961 the new owner John Fetzer took over the club and renamed it Tiger Stadium. And you likely won't find this print, "The Corner in Winter" anywhere else.

This print measures roughly 7x11 inches and is in excellent condition. My father worked at the News and brought this photo home to me because he knew I loved the Tigers. It's been part of my personal collection for more than 50 years, but now I'm ready to pass it on to another Tigers fan or collector.
