Default Wright, Lazzeri, Burkett- real?

Hey guys..

In trying to sort through my collection and determine which of my extremely old autographs may be good and which are likely not, I have a few more that I would like your feedback on. I'll say up front that I am grateful for the opinions offered, and I realize there is a wealth of information in the membership of the advanced collectors on net54.

All of these autographs have been in my collection for many years and since I didn't keep records of who I got them from, I would not have any recollection of who, but as I have said before, I tried to deal with reputable and authoritative sellers. All these purchases were made before the era of TPAs or reference books that would illustrate these autographs. I have come to understand that even in those days, there were forgers at work who had some sources of autographs from which to produce forgeries, and I think that they were able to pass them off as genuine to reputable sellers.

Let me know what you think, and thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge. If you recognize the work of a forger, a Ron Dross or someone else, that would be good to know.

Here's what I can tell you about the autographs:

Mickey Welch is in a plastic holder- it is steel tipped fountain pen and a piece of scotch tape was put over it a long time ago.

Harry Wright is in pencil and under the name is St. George’s C. Someone told me that that stood for St. George’s Cricket Club. Harry wright played for St. George’s Cricket club in NY, and if real, this autograph dates back to the 1860-70s or so. Very light pencil cut.

The Lazzeri is a pencil cut from an autograph album on pastel pink paper.

Hornsby is a steel tipped fountain pen.

Ott is also steel tipped fountain pen.

Jesse Burkett is steel tipped fountain pen on Callahan. It has been laminated. It is a very shaky signature, looks like #2 in Keurjian’s book, and other illustrations I have. Keurjian says Burkett is extremely rare and he thinks most are secretarial.

The Robinson is a cut signature that I glued to a card.

Honestly, at first glance on my phone....they all appear good. Not positive on the Burkett as he had a ghost signer later in life, including when that card came out. Cooperstown expert has a very similar signed card, perhaps he would know more.

Thanks, guys..

I took a look at the 1950 Burkett Callahan on CooperstownExpert's website, and it does look a lot like mine.
