I apologize for starting this in the B/S/T section, so I am starting a thread here. When a card is listed for auction or set sale, how come we can not see the final hammer price? I can't go by Ebay because prices are manipulated by postage costs and various fees. I can get a far better read on prices right here. I also don't buy the price is private, if a sale is private don't list it in a public forum. So... ?????

There is no rule of the BST that requires sale price to be posted. Some people do. Some don't.
