Hub Fans Bid Kid Adieu
On this date in 1960, Ted Williams played his last game and hit his 521st career home run in his last at bat. John Updike’s piece is one of the best pieces of baseball writing I’ve read, and I thought it was ironic that the Red Sox were playing the Orioles again today, though with a different result.
