Hi Bithorn Photo
I was wondering if anyone has a better version of this photo of Hiram "Hi" Bithorn? He was the first Puerto Rican native to play in the majors, had one tremendous season with the Cubs before the draft got him. Hurt his arm playing ball in the Navy. Died a few years later in Mexico where he was attempting a comeback when he was murdered by a crooked cop who tried to steal his car.
Anyway, from what I can tell this photo dates to circa 1939-41 when he was playing in the Pacific Coast League with Oakland and Hollywood. Screen Shot 2019-07-31 at 4.54.42 PM.jpg
