Default Is PWCC editing images to hide creases on cards?

I realize these are not baseball cards but the issue isn't the type of card it is. It seems as if PWCC is editing photos in an extreme manner or could it been taken from a particular angle under ideal lighting conditions? Look at these two photos of the same card taken from PWCC around 1/23/2019 and the identical card a couple months later from probstein123 on 3/6/2019. I copied these photos from VCP.

I've switched my focus to comic books! looking for AF 15, Hulk 1, FF1, FF 5 and x-men 1 prefer blue CGC 2.5. I cannot afford a 2.5 Superman #! or Dective Comics #27 so would consider less grades for only those two books.

Is this a surprise? Kudos to the collectors that bring this to our attention. Irradicate this cancer.

If a card is doctored to minimize or eliminate creases....can the creases come back over time? Is that what we are looking at?

Why is this posted here AND in the general discussion board? And why posted during the start of the live auction for pwcc’s prewar section?

At minimum not cool for consigners. ( I have no dog in the fight and I nothing consigned)

timing is perfect imo to protect potential buyers from being duped.

the only reason anyone consigns to PWCC id because of the prices their auctions "seem" to command.

In light of all that has happened recently...it certainly seems to me that many of these realized prices are not "Real." They've been shilled...sometimes money is never exchanged...most of these cards have been altered and/or falsely represented. I can't think of better timing to protect collectors from the scum of the earth that is pwcc.

And what about those hobbyists with non-related cards currently in the auction?

Then I’d say the timing is unfortunate. No different from holding a stock on the day terrible news is announced.

The hobby has been such that everyone’s mentality is they can never lose money only gain. This can’t go on forever .

Posting this in multiple sections of the boards, where this is clearly a BST section, is not cool. I think you agree?
