Over the past 10 months I have bought approximately 100 unopened wax packs from 1949 to 1970. They are for sale right now and I will have them on display and for sale at Booth 600 at the next National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland 11 booths in the door facing the food concessions.
There are a number of rare, scarce and exceedingly difficult packs here and the vast majority are 5 cent packs. I have between 1 and 7 packs of most years, including some of the rarer and scarcer ones; I even have 16 packs and a box of 1967 Topps baseball. 26 of the packs are between 1949 and 1958. NOTE: Before reading below, please note that I have only put the highest priced pack of each year on the list. In most cases, I have other packs from the same year that are the same or at a lower price. For example, I may have a pack listed at $6,000 that I have 3 other packs of and they are at prices that range between $3,000 and $5,000. I just couldn’t list them all. But some packs I only have one of. As of this writing, I will have at a minimum the following unopened wax packs: (By the way, the packs are in incredible condition, most looking like they were just pulled from the box that held them some 50-70 years ago). These packs far exceed the condition of the majority that I have seen sold by any of the auction houses or on eBay. The packs are highlighted by: 1-- 1949 bowman baseball, 2 --1958 Topps baseball, 3 -- 1952 Bowman large football, 4 -- 1953 Bowman football, 5 – 1953 Bowman Color Baseball, and many extremely tough packs such as 1965 Topps football, 1969/1970 Topps Basketball, and 1968/1969 Topps Hockey. They must be seen to be believed as they are in such extraordinary condition so call me on my cell at 914-522-3853 or stop by in Cleveland at booth number 600. I can tell you more about the collection, so scroll down below the prices to see more details. ****As you scan the prices, please remember that these are raw ungraded packs and many of them are perfect**** Baseball 1949 Bowman -- exceedingly rare -- $ASK 1953 Bowman Color – incredibly rare -- $ASK 1954 Topps/OPC – scarce -- $6,000 1955 Bowman – tough -- $5,000 1957 Topps – tough -- $6,000 1958 Topps – scarce -- $ASK 1960 Topps -- $1,800 1962 Topps -- $1,800 1965 Topps – tough -- $2,000 1965 Topps 1 cent -- $750 1967 Topps -- $1,700 1967 Topps Box With 16 packs -- $24,000 1968 Topps -- $1,200 1969 Topps -- $1,200 1970 Topps -- $750 Football 1952 Bowman Large – scarce -- $6,500 1953 Bowman – rare -- $ASK 1954 Bowman 1 cent -- $200 1955 Bowman – scarce -- $4,000 1957 Topps – scarce -- $3,500 1958 Topps – scarce -- $6,500 1961 Topps -- tough -- $2,200 1962 Topps -- $1,800 1964 Topps -- $2,200 1965 Topps – scarce -- $7,000 1966 Topps -- $750 1968 Topps -- $850 1969 Topps -- $750 Basketball 1969/70 Topps – scarce -- $5,000 1970/71 Topps -- $1,200 1961 Fleer – scarce -- $2,000 Hockey 1968/69 Topps – tough -- $3,500 Non Sports King Kong 1965 - tough -- $1,000 Brady Bunch - tough -- $875 Rat Patrol – tough -- $750 Wacky Packages 1973 Series 1 -- Extremely scarce/possibly rare -- $1,000 Wacky Packages 1973 Series 4 – scarce -- $200 Other: Beatles Plaks - tough; I bought the Beatles Plaks box from the Mile High Beer Box II auction. $995 per pack. Wacky Packages 1967, 1973 to 1975 -- I also have (from the same connection) six 1967 diecuts and six other Series 1 (1973) packs which are very very scarce, including one with Bandache on the back; I also have ten vintage unopened wacky package boxes between 7th series and 15th series, including the 11th series which there are only two known boxes known. Packs range from $1,000 and boxes range from $1,440. Send for my other list or wait until I load it up. ******************* HISTORY: These 100 packs came from two sons whose father had put them away in a box many years ago, and the son's found and opened it and have been selling them to me when they need money. If nothing else, stop by and say hello in Cleveland. For those who don’t know me, I am 100% old school, and have been selling cards, memorabilia and comic books since 1976. I have run over 300 comic book and baseball card shows between 1979 and 1994. I ran the monthly shows in Bayside, NY and Riverside, CT during that time period; I also ran shows in Manhattan and Long Island. I have set up at 100s of other shows over the past 40+ years. Mark Murphy used to come in and occasionally set up at the CT show. Just for the record, I have never graded anything; I do have some graded items, but they were bought primarily in an auction situation. I prefer ungraded raw items. PAYMENTS: I do NOT accept credit cards so be prepared to pay cash or PayPal cash, or personal check (with purchases held until check clears). CONTACT INFORMATION: Steve Sabow DynamicTwo@aol.com 914-522-3853 cell I also have about 200 + other sports and non-sports packs that did not come from this collection, including 30 1964 Topps Stand Ups wax packs (some with Mantle, Clemente, Aaron, and other stars and single prints). I will prepare and send out another list of what I have for sale right now and at the National. The list will also include a partial list of complete vintage boxes for sale right now and at the National. Enjoy. Steve Last edited by Steve_NY; 07-26-2018 at 02:49 PM.
