I just joined this site and my question is what does "bump" mean?

If you have something for sale and the thread is starting to get towards the bottom of the page or has gone to the second page, responding with "bump" just means you're bumping your thread back to the top. Preferably it's done in moderation to be fair to all folks trying to sell their items.

One more question, how does one actually bump their thread to the top? Do they just start a new thread with the same initial information?

Just post a reply within the thread - perhaps with only the word "bump". The most recently updated thread moves to the top of the list...
