I had something unusual happen today.
I was scanning a group of 1980's Cleveland Indians photos. As I was stacking them, a small pile slid off of the table and somehow slid into the opening of my shredder, which was set on auto. Before I could react, 10 of the photos were shredded. I could probably try to do this a thousand times and none of them would end up in the shredder. Usually, the shredder is in the "off" position, but today it was set on "auto". Should I buy a lottery ticket or should I lock myself in my house to prevent any more of these one in a million occurences? Fortunately, these weren't T206's or Goudey's. ![]() ![]() ![]() Rick

Rick,
That is awful. I can't imagine the look on your face when when you saw that shredder chewing away the photos. They say that lightning never strikes twice in the same spot. I believe that you have just been struck by your lightning. Don't buy a lottery ticket. Use your money to buy some cards. I think that you can sell these photos. Just include in your description that the edges have some light chipping. Last edited by Buythatcard; 04-30-2018 at 09:02 AM. |

In this case there appears to be a shred of evidence.

Ugh, that's got to be infuriating. I once picked up a pretty rare variation of an item (I've only seen or heard of three total). I took it out of the top loaded to examine it, took a step, and walked right into the wall with it. I ended up with a one inch tear in it. Needless to say, I put it in the toploader and immediately put it in my safe to protect it from me. My dog and my son have never destroyed a single card, yet I'm rough as can be.
I hope these weren't too valuable? |

You should get them graded. The TPG will likely assign an "Authentic - Shredded" grade to them.

Sorry to hear of this. Yes, you should be grateful there were not any T206 or HOFers. You may have ended up with a shredded Wheat.
