I'm trying to acquire every Roberto Clemente card, coin and stamp from when he was a player. I'm up to 71 items now. I don't have any of his Bazooka cards (man, they are expensive!) or the rare 1967 Topps stickers or the 1962 Canadian Post cereal card that's in English and French. What else am I missing?

Howard is our resident Clemente master collector. I just did Topps, Bowman and Fleer.
For Fleer his extension Fleer World Series 1971 card is a little tough. For Topps his 68 3D card is tough to find and expensive. Same for his 67 and 68 Discs, and his 68 Plaq and image on the Plaq checklist. I think Howard also has the rare 67 Pin Up that was a prototype to the issued version. The 67 Stand Up is very tough and expensive as well Less tough are the 69 Topps Pirates Team Poster and the Topps 1968 Action Sticker Clemente. You mentioned the 67 Pirates Stickers. But Howard is the guy you need to chime in on this. If you are sticking to cards or items actually issued at retail as opposed to unissued or limited distribution test issues, it is a little easier. Thanks for the feedback, Jason and Al! I quickly realized I'm only scratching the surface.
I'm not quite sure where to draw the line between cards and postcards/photos. And there's the whole poster issue. I do have the 1967 Dexter Press 5x7 photo/card and the 1971 Arco 8x10 photo and will probably eventually go down that road... |

Happy hunting on the Brock stuff! Not sure how true this is with Brock, but with Clemente on eBay you run into a ton of reprints and tribute cards that I’m not interested in. (I was for awhile and amassed about 200 posthumous Clemente cards before deciding it was too much to keep up with.) I met Brock once a couple years after he retired and he seemed like a really decent guy.

O-Pee-Chees as well. But those should be on the PSA list.

62 and 63 Jell-o. Also, if you are doing current cards, he is on the some of the Topps Heritage cards. Then and Now etc...

Thanks for everyone's input. Spent a good portion of the day poring over the PSA registry suggested by Jason. I'm not optimistic about acquiring the 1963 I.D.L. Drug Store card -- there's one for $900 and one for $1,199 on eBay right now -- but it's good to know what's out there.

My favorites are the Sugardale and the Topps test issues (standup, disc, plaq and punchout). The 1958 Kahns is extremely tough to find.

There are two variations of his captain cards in the 67 Punch outs. There are line up variations for all captains but the only photo variations I am aware of are for Clemente, Mantle, M Alou and F Robinsom

well what grade range are you after? those IDL's you listed are pretty high-end but there must be a couple dozen lower-end ones that come around from time to time. just have to be patient. Besides, your pic was all raw material, right?
(answer to your original question forthcoming, as I notice 2 coins to add to your list, among the other items that have been mentioned) |

what I notice to add:
-coins: (1)whichever coin is on the second row is either the '62 Salada (probably) or '62 Shirriff, which you can only tell from the back, so you could add the other one; (2) the '72 Esso Latin coin is pretty scarce, but I believe the two of those would give you a complete coin subset (if you don't count that the '62 Salada's was issued with 2 different backs, one mentioning set size of "180" and the other "200") -stamps: didn't see the '64 Wheaties -cards: others mentioned the pretty rare stuff and test issues etc. so I'll avoid repeating, but the one I didn't notice in your pic that should be comparatively easy to come by is the '69 Topps Super (year that's not large like the '70&'71) |

Saladas actually have three backs, but the third one is as far as I know only found with Red Sox players.
Be glad for that, as they're very difficult. |

Yes, it's stated on the back and the back is also different, so they're easy to spot.
The third back is a clip back. https://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...carl-129099299 |

Not sure if I missed it in this ever growing list, but there are the two versions of the 58 Topps card, a version with the YL team name and one with the WL team name.
