1969 Mike Andersen Postcards???? Need Info!
Just became aware of the existence of 1969 Mike Andersen Postcards. They appear to be 5x7 B&W photocards.. Possibly 300+ in set. A Google search reveals plenty of pictures, but no background info... Can anyone shed some light on these postcards??? Thanks!

Mike Andersen Postcards
Mike only produced about 8 to 10 of each player. He kept two for himself: One to be mailed to the player to be signed and a second for his collection in case the player didn’t return the first postcard. I believe the remainder of the postcards went to friends. Mike passed away a few years ago and his collection was sold through auction houses.

mike Anderson
Anderson came into possession of hundreds of newspaper negatives that were going to be destroyed. They were mostly from the 1930s into the '50s. There were a handful of Deadball. All Boston oriented.
He also printed 8x10 photos, which he made very limited copies of each. They are beautiful. He advertised in SCD. I thought SABR got a lot of the negatives. |
