There was the 4th Edition of the Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards printed in 2014. I've got it and refer to it often. Or were you looking for a specific set like Old Judge or T206?

The last hobby "variation" book was published circa 1990 and was written by Dick Gilkeson (sic). There has not been one since which has featured only variations.

Once the Standard Catalog and the Beckett Almanac really got going the sales for those variation books totally plummeted.

I don't know in today's print world if anyone will ever do a book again but perhaps someone will create an on-line variation book

If one ever does it would be nice if they could cover variations besides cards - like Yearbook variations - I have been looking for variations of Cubs Yearbooks for years. I think SCD published a series one time but can't find it. The list would also have to be editable since card variations are constantly being discovered.

I agree on the old yearbook variations -- I remember in the 1970's -- there were all those 1960's Mets Yearbook variations, and the later editions were really difficult because

1) If you went to many games you bought your yearbook early and then did not buy another one

2) less of the later editions were printed
