Not in a tremendous hurry to sell these but would be willing to take offers.
Tesreau is an impossibly tough autograph in general, having passed away in 1946. He was an important part of the New York Giants from 1912-1918 when he quit the game and became head baseball coach at Dartmouth. From 1912-1916 he didn't win less than 17 games each year, winning 20 or more twice. In his rookie year of 1912 he led the league in ERA and ERA+. He also threw a no hitter that year.
Archer passed away in 1958. He wasn't much of a hitter but had an absolute cannon for an arm. He played for the Pirates, Tigers, Cubs, Dodgers and Reds from 1904-1918. He was the Cubs catcher from 1909-1916. In 1915, Archer caught Jimmy Lavender's no hitter. The Archer signature is among the boldest and best looking from the entire Steen collection.
I am going to tell you what I paid for each one, and so everyone who is interested understands, I am looking to make a decent profit on these or I will hold onto them without issue.
I paid $450 on the Tesreau and $390 on the Archer.
Please PM me with any offers for one or both.
