Default ** Complete set of 1912 W-Unc Strip cards (w555-esque). Very scarce! -- Now SOLD!!**

The 1912 W-Unc. strip cards are approx. 1-3/8" x 1-5/8" which make them comparable to the W555 "Base Ball Snap Shots" issue from 1910. They're a little larger however. They are dated to 1912 but may actually pre-date the W555 edition. For now, they are assumed to have served as part of a box of candy.

To my knowledge, this is the only known complete set. The PSA and SGC set registries each lists an individual or two working on the set but no completions. There are 11 subjects that have been graded by PSA and 30 by SGC (8 of which are in this lot). The Wagner in particular is exceedingly scarce and ranks up there with the absolutely toughest Wagner cards to try to find. A couple of the other subjects are also exceedingly scarce and as a result, were uncatalogued for a long time (and may still be).

Cards included include the following (The Barry or Doyle may still be uncatalogued):

Brown (George?) SGC 50
Leach SGC 40
Jack Barry SGC 30
Oscar Stanage SGC 30
Larry Doyle SGC 20
Bill Carrigan SGC AUT
Honus Wagner SGC AUT
Cy Young SGC AUT

Asking $3200 delivered. Selling these as a complete set and not individually. However, I'm open to keeping a card or two if someone is interested but not necessarily wanting the entire set. I would not mind keeping that Wagner at all actually and would be happy to work with you on the price

Better scans available upon request!

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Will try one more bump and lower the price to $2800. Again, I emphasize that this is the only completed set that I'm aware of and neither PSA/SGC has a completed set listed in their set registries.
