Default Mint Grading Service

I picked up this World Series Game #2 Mantle at a show today. It is slabbed by Mint Grading Service. I have never heard of that company has anyone else? Thinking of cracking it out.

Thanks,

Mike

Never heard of them, a no name similar to mine purchased in the mid 90's never had any intentions of cracking it out.

If you type in the web site mintgrading.com, nothing comes up - so they probably have been out of business for a while now.

Unless you want to keep it in the slab to preserve a bit of fly-by-night third party grading history, I would crack it out.

IMO, that card would be a PSA 4 or (at best) a PSA 5 card anyway if you were looking to send it to them...

Yeah, they were a low cost grading company. There's an antique mall in north Florida that has a ton of them. No harm in cracking it out, as it is probably worth less in that slab.

I paid $40 for the Mantle and 4 1953 color Bowman. I only need 1 of the 4. So I traded 3 to another dealer for $50 credit for I bought 3 Bowman's I do need.

I would just leave the card alone. You're not going to increase or decrease value either way.

Nice card! Enjoy it!!!
