Up for auction is a single lot of 14 1948 Bowman. I scooped these up in the Sixties, not pulled from packs in year of issue (Who do yo think I am, Ted Z?!)
Rookies abound and a few short prints. A few have creasing. Cards are pretty much as they look in the scans except for the yellowing/toning which is due to my overly enthusiastic scanner. Also, the difference in contrast between cards is not as extreme either. In fact they all look better in hand. I'll try to describe any anomalies:
Elliott (RC) #1 in set and no rubberbanding; Blackwell (RC); Kiner (RC/HOF); Mize (HOF); Reiser ([SP] crease from nose to right border); Sain (RC); Reynolds ([RC] - pencil marks on back, lower right); Joost; Spahn (RC/HOF - long crease across bottom l-r breaks surface.also visible on reverse); Heinrich; Leonard ([SP] - dark ink(?) spot top back); Lockman ([RC/SP] - pen writing back bottom); Rigney; Stirnweiss.
