Default Brockelman Wins

I can't believe I won the W600 Joe Kelley! Now if Scott would only sell me his W600 Burkett.

You must have been sleeping with multiple emails and bumps to threads over the last week. No one was hush hush, you just screwed up if you wanted to bid.

This lot seemed too cheap to let go - I've picked up a few A's items recently.

I am not on the board with any frequency but I saw the thread here on 3/14 announcing the auction but maybe Robert, like myself, never got any email blasts.

The auction thread with this title below has been on the front page, including today, the last 4 days. But I agree, more emails are needed!! I will talk to their management about that.

Brockelman Spring 2016 Auction Ends Saturday March 26th

Hmm....... I did not get any returned emails, only a few out of office replies. There were at a minimum 8-10 emails over that last 10 days. Spam folders perhaps?

Please add brockelmanauctions.com to your contact list on your email and that would prevent any emails in the future from going to the trash or elsewhere.

There was the thread plus the banner at the top of page for the last month, Old Cardboard listing, Collectibles Central, Collectable.com and several other sites with the info.

I never got any emails, nor were then in my spam folder. I go to old cardboard, to check on auctions ending soon, and don't recall seeing any reference to Brockleman and Luckey auction ending.

Brockelman Spring 2016 Auction Ends Saturday March 26th
I stated in my post I saw that thread as early as 3/14. Anyone who comes on the board should have seen it since it never left the front page but despite Scott saying no emails were returned I saw none. No spam blockers are set up on my mailbox. If Robert did not see emails either then there could be an issue.

Absolutely agree with you on this. I have gone through this many times with Net54baseball members not getting their email notifications from PM's ..many times adding to a contact list or at worst emailing the hosting company to whitelist an address, has been the solution.

Greg/Bobby... I can't explain it from my end, both of you show as registered users with correct emails as far as I can tell.

I will ask the auction host to look into it from their end and see what the possible problem and/or solution is to prevent this from happening in the future.

Did I see correctly

1964's and 1953's

Next thing you will be telling me, is you are building such a stock of those cards that you will be setting up at my shows. Easier than traveling

Default Mail level was appropriate

Don't know if it was only because of having placed a bid, but the level of mail was fine - I received close to 10 over the last week, as Scott says.

My 1 pickup is attached.

I got lots of emails, especially over the last couple days with warnings and bid summaries heading into the final night. This morning at 10:41am got another email offering lots without bids for sale.

I thought it was a good auction with a wide variety of items. Look forward to the next one!

Never got any prompts / reminders from sb1, but didn't need any, since the large banner ad running for the past two weeks and at the top of the N54 page was a, "can't miss it unless you are blind" advisory.

I can't seem to sell pre-war (though I have bought some) very well at your shows so might as well do as the Romans do....I need a lot more stock though!!

Well yes with a few exceptions our shows are not heavy pre-war in terms of collectors. Every time I pick up a few things they all sell.

and yes, the post war era is where it is at for the shows

So when you are ready for show and tell on pre-war and selling the "good" stuff, then let me know

Rich

Definitely a good opportunity to get a TTT back. Anyone know who the consigner of all the t204s was? Seemed like a really nice grouping of those.

There will be more T204's in the June auction! Some T.T.T.s, as well as higher grade cards.

Already taking consignments if anyone wants to add their material.

Default Update for folks not receiving emails

After some investigation on the software host side, there are one of three reasons why someone would not be receiving emails and updates.

1) Not on mailing list - These are users who opted to not get added to your mailing list when they registered.

Easily fixed by by logging into your account, going to My Account page and clicking on "Edit User Information." Then check the "join our mailing list" box. There appear to be quite a few people who have not checked this option.

2) Bounced - eblasts/emails are blocked as spam.

Fixed by adding info@brockelmanauctions.com to trusted sender list.

3) Do Not Contact - these users have unsubscribed from mailing list.

This is the most complicated. This means that at one point the user unsubscribed to the mailing lists. You can do one of two things to get back on the emails list. If you have any of the old email blasts you can re-add himself by clicking the "manage your subscription" tab at the bottom.

If there is no longer an email on file then one can email this address and ask to be removed from the do not contact list for Brockelman Auctions: deliverability@icontact.com. Make sure to specify that he would like to receive emails from Brockelman Auctions, Folder ID 18118 of Account #566236.

Hope this helps and explains, as the next auction is in June and would like to have all that are interested to be receiving direct communications.

Scott
