FS-Muddy Ruel Letter to former Gehrig Roomate C.E. Pat Olsen
Very interesting letter with good content... At the time Ruel was technically the farm director for the tigers, but based on the content I have a feeling that he knew he was the club's next GM.
The letter is addressed to C.E "Pat" Olsen. Pat Olsen is a member of the Texas A&M baseball hall of fame, and their stadium bares his name. Olsen graduated from A&M in 1923 and was invited to Yankees training camp where he roomed with fellow rookie Lou Gehrig prior to Lou's 1st season http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Olsen Ruel mentions the Colonel in the letter, and he has neatly closed the letter with "Herold" Very cool piece... $45 pp gift shipped
