Help with catchers mask
Picked this catchers mask up today the mask is not jaw dropping but what is written on the pad is interesting. It has Joplin miner Taylor M-5 1950 on it . I know that they were a minor league team but am not finding this name anywhere am wondering if it was a players mask or maybe a ball boy ? Any help on this would be great

Softball, as Kevin said. I don't believe a professional baseball team would ever have used a mask like this.
