Selling this very nice 1" Sewn Web Model Glove from the late Teens. Stellar example features softest imaginable leather and high-quality features.
Black Rolled Leather Piping creates a beautiful contrast against the light colored leather. The 1" Web remain tight and fully intact. No ink or former owner's name. Hunt Auctions called this a White Leather Glove, but in the spirit of full disclosure, I would call it a light tan. Inner lining is smooth, and this glove literally glides on to your hand. Absolutely perfect Reach Patch on wrist strap. A very well preserved example. Please compare to this nearly identical example, which just sold on ebay for $331... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-earl...#ht_254wt_1281 The offered example is equally nice and virtually identical (for roughly half the price...) SOLD! Thanks for looking! Last edited by perezfan; 12-04-2014 at 03:33 PM. |

I believe I have the same glove and always wondered if it was 'white leather' when made, or the off white-ish/tan color as shown. Does anyone know for sure? Mine is very soft and feels great on the hand, as well.

Matt:
Really tough to tell if it is off-white or light tan. I think the answer lies somewhere inbetween. How's that for wishy-washy ![]() Regardless... this beauty has SOLD. Thanks! |

Hi Matt, Reach produced gloves in many light colors such as mouse, drab, cream, tan, etc. Attached are a couple of catalog pages showing some of the whites and off-white colors they used on their gloves in the teens and 20's.

Hey Jim...
Great post, with the Catalog images! The frst Catalog is interesting to me, as it features both Full Webs and 1" Web Models at the same time... about equal in number. So I'd assume that this was perhaps right in the midst of the transition period. Can you tell us what year that top Catalog is from? Just curious... thanks ![]() |
