Default What kind of ball is this?

Is this a miniature baseball, golf ball, or something else? It's the size of a golf ball, stitched like a baseball, the color of a feathery golf ball, and similar to a figure eight ball. Any ideas?

Default Kevin

that was my reply in a thread on the main page. I have an example in my own collection. Most likely case with this ball and the one I own.

I seem to remember a full Game of Fives set being on ebay recently that had similar balls iirc. I'm on my phone now, and not about to attempt ebay research on here. Was through Gaynor I think? I'm probably causing more confusion than help at this point, so I'll shut up for now

I would agree with you about fives, but I have done a lot of research on those before posting and they are about the right size, but are 4 pieces stitched together at an x in the middle. This ball is 2 pieces stitched just like a baseball. I believe it is a variant of jai alai from Valencia or something like that now.
