Default Good Little Anecdote Re: Old Players

So here I am right now at a Thai food festival on the Paramount Studio lot in LA with the family. I wind up in a line with a friend's kid who's in the fifth grade. He doesn't play much baseball, not a huge fan either. Anyway I ask him what older players he knows-- never heard any names I mention, then he says, "I just know Babe Ruth. I don't know where from but I know he was like the greatest. I also know Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle, because some kids did reports on them for school."

Just thought it was a cute story, and goes to show how the legends live on even for people who aren't into the sport.

Given what we talk about so often on the forum that story is quite telling. Thanks for sharing....
