jim@stinsonsports.com Baseball Autographs Non Hall of Fame Rarities 106) JIMMIE WILSON autographed original snapshot photo measures aprox 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 Vintage fountain pen signature , Wilson is pictured in Cincinnati Reds uniform. The snapshot has a small portion of the upper right corner missing and is matted along with an unsigned baseball card of Wilson to an overall size of 5x7. Wilson was a longtime player and manager from 1923-1944, He was a member of the FIRST All Star team in 1933. He died in 1947. $100.00 108) STAN HACK AUTOGRAPHED "BURKE" PHOTO pictured in Cubs uniform , Measures 4x6, signed perfectly in fountain pen and inscribed "To Robert, Sincerely STANLEY HACK" Double weight heavy stock mat finish with the "Geo. Burke" studio stamp on the reverse. Signed Burke photos are considered the ultimate upgrade in any collection as his baseball photography is truly a work of art as evidenced here. Hack played for the Cubs from 1932-1947 and over that span compiled a lifetime batting average of .301. He led the league in hits in 1940 and 1941. He died in 1979. $100.00 110) CLYDE BECK AUTOGRAPHED "BURKE" PHOTO pictured in Chicago Cubs uniform. Beck has signed and inscribed the photo "With best wishes to George" , Beck played for the Cubs 1926-1930 and the Reds in 1931. Double weight heavy stock mat finish Signed Burke photos are considered the ultimate upgrade in any collection as his baseball photography is truly a work of art. This photo was attached to a page from a scrapbook and still has paper obscuring the reverse. Beck died in 1988. $75.00 112) HOWARD EHMKE 3x5 index card. The hero of the 1929 World Series for the Athletics he pitched a No-Hitter in 1905. (Died-1959) $100.00 113) GINGER BEAUMONT 3x5 index card. Played for the Pirates 1899-1906 and later 1907-1910 Braves and Cubs. Holds the unique distinction as the Pirates leadoff batter in 1903 to become the first player ever to come to the plate in a World Series game. He led the league in batting in 1902. Has some light toning throughout mostly on the left portion. Also has a slight skuff mark far left well away from signature. A tough autograph he died in 1956. $250.00 115) JACK COOMBS Vintage 3x5 index card signed in fountain pen. originates from the Roy Pitts collection. Pitts has written Coombs stats on the upper right corner away from the signature. Coombs pitched for the 1906-1920 Athletics, Brooklyn and Tigers , he led the league in wins twice in 1910 & 1911 winning an amazing 31 games in 1910. He died in 1957. $150.00 118) NORM CASH 3x5 signed boldly in ball point. An All Star first baseman with the 1958-1959 White Sox and 1960-1974 Tigers , He led the league in batting in 1961. (Died-1986) $100.00 120) CARL MAYS Vintage 3x5 index card signed boldly in ball point and comes with an 8x10 photo of Mays (unsigned) pictured in Yankees uniform. Perfect for display. Mays won 20 or more games in a season five times including leading the league in wins in 1921. He pitched for the 1915-1929 Red Sox, Yankees, Reds & Giants he is best remembered for hitting Cleveland's Ray Chapman with a fatal beanball in 1920. Mays died in 1971. $150.00 121) ARLIE LATHAM Vintage album page measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 , A cut signature of Latham has been attached to the page under a small magazine photo. Early and popular 19th century player 1880-1909 later a long time coach. He is generally credited with being the first full time 1st base coach in baseball history. Page portion measures 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 and is signed by Knickerbocker only , perfect for display. A very tough autograph to find of this former Yankees player 1938-1940, His career spanned almost a decade 1933-1942 and also played for Cleveland, The Browns, White Sox and Athletics he died in 1963. $75.00 125) CHARLES O. FINLEY Full page photo from 1960's "LIFE" magazine picturing Finley and pitcher Lew Krausse , Measures aprox 10x13. Finley has signed the light portion. Both are pictured wearing Kansas City baseball caps. Vintage ball point signature of Finley who is likely a future Hall of Famer. Baseball executive best remembered for his tenure as owner of the Athletics he died in 1996. $75.00 126) 1927 ATLANTA CRACKERS DOCUMENT Player release form for player Pete Fowler. Measures 8 1/2 x 14 and is signed by the Atlanta Crackers team President and Chicago Cubs President WILLIAM VEECK SR. (The father of Baseball Hall of Famer Bill Veeck), Considered to be one of the greatest minor league teams ever. This is a fine association item and legal document dated July 8th 1927. $75.00 130) BOBBY YOUNG reprint black and white of his 1953 Topps card, Measures 5 1/2 x 8. Signed in ballpoint by Young on the partially shaded area of the image. 1948-1958 played for the Cardinals, Browns, Phillies & Cleveland.
