I know that there are other Gorman out there, from his days in the Minor leagues, and I will defer to those who have been around the autograph hobby FAR longer than I. All I can say is that this is the only Herb Gorman that I have ever seen that can genuinely be traced to his short time with the major league club (spring training and 2 weeks to start 1952 season). Gorman, of course, tragically died after opening day of the PCL in 1953.
This is a single sheet of paper about 5x8 signed on both sides. Teams are the Cardinals and the Yankees. Other key signatures on the piece include a great early Mantle, Dickey, Slaughter, Musial, a few other early deaths. Comes with a Full JSA LOA FWIW ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Asking $480 delivered. Thanks for looking! Tom C Last edited by btcarfagno; 08-15-2013 at 03:50 PM. |
