Default ## Looking for 1957-1971 Traders ##

Here's a partial list of cards from 1957-1967 that I have to trade for cards off of my need list (below). I also have many other cards--stars, HOFers, high numbers, etc.--that may not be listed here. I also have a ton of stuff from 1968 to 1973 to trade as well.

If you're interested, PLMK what cards you have off of my need list and what cards you're interested in of mine (and what shape you're looking for, because they do vary greatly). Since my sets are all upgrades, I am a stickler when it comes to condition. I'm looking for really nice stuff.

If you have nothing I need, I'm also looking for a 1958 Topps starter set, 1964 Topps stand-ups and 1963 Fleer.
Thanks.

What I Have to Trade:

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Could you please keep all your B/S/T posts in ONE thread? There are 30 different threads on each page and you have 8 threads on the main page. In other words, your threads occupy over 25% of the main page. Just asking for some consideration for others.

Great attitude you have, huh?! An established forum member simply asked you to combine them,to follow the rules so everyone buying, selling and trading could have equal space!! But you chose to respond like a jack@$$! You're not going to have much success in trying to trade here if you are going to act that way!

As Shawn already pointed out, we're just asking that you follow the rules to be fair to others. As far as ignoring your posts, it kind of hard when you're threads occupy over 25% of the main page.

From the rules: "Items should be consolidated in the BST area, into one thread, when appropriate. In other words don’t list more than a few similar items in single threads, in the same BST area, at once. IF you do this, they will most likely be deleted and asked to be posted again in a consolidated fashion. You should not bump a BST thread to the top very often (every 3-4 days at most) as it is discourteous to other posters."

Yes, I do have a good attitude. And when someone wants to be a dou_hebag, then I respond. I didn't violate any rules, so why should your 'established forum member' tell me what to do? Because he doesn't like it? Let's all bow down and let him be the arbiter of what's right and wrong. No thank you.

My posts are put on here over time, so they can't be consolidated. One has to do with Carlton, another with Nolan Ryan and so forth. And the beat-up HOF'ers have been posted as I've dug them out--over a course of a bunch of days.

And as the screen shot shows, my screen shows 27 posts on the main page. 5 of them are mine. So how does your math add up exactly (it doesn't as you full well know) and how is it tough to just breeze by my posts??? Again, go away.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Your screen shot only shows 27 posts, because it's not a FULL screen shot. There are 30 threads per page. When I posted this morning, you had 8 on the main page. With the other posts today, one has dropped off to the second page, but you still have 7 posts on the first page.

Your argument is pathetic and ridiculous. If I post a number of threads over a number of days, then it's out of my control where they end up on the page. That depends on how many other people post threads and if people respond to my posts. Otherwise they get pushed down and eventually off the page.

Your 'complaint' with me is far, far from a legitimate grievance. In fact, I would just say it's the action of an arrogant message boarder just looking to complain. If you had a reasonable complaint, why didn't you PM me instead of posting it in the thread and starting a BS argument with idiot pilers on joining in?? That's what a respectful person would of done. Clearly, I know all I need to know about you.

That's my point. Don't post a number of threads over a number of days. Keep all your similar posts in ONE thread. It's the rules. Clearly your lack of consideation tells me everything I need to know about you.

This is from the rules. Do you NOT understand what it means? "Items should be consolidated in the BST area, into one thread, when appropriate.

Well this should tell everyone here on Net54 all we know about you! Confrontational, disrespectful, verbally abusive, name calling, demanding that nothing you do is wrong,etc...Sounds familiar! By the way, name do you go by on the CU/PSA forum?

It is so nice to come back from vacation and once again see your BS flying from your ridiculous mouth. Hey, as_hole, you don't make the rules. The posts I made weren't consolidateable. They were put here over the course of a bunch of days. No one from the message board has said anything about anything I have done. You are the only one trying to give me grief. But let's be honest, I just laugh when I think about how pathetic you are. I bet people point at you as you walk down the street and just start laughing.

Since you're such a message board tough guy, just send me your address and I'll come over so we can meet face to face. Then you can look me in the eye and try to convince me that everyone here should comply to your self-imposed rules. Any time. Any fu_king time you want.

I wasn't trying to be tough. I never said anything rude or harsh to you. I simply quoted you the rules. You're the one with all the name calling. But, hey, if you want my address, PM coming you're way. Just let me know which way you're coming from and I'll even give you directions. Now, let's see if you're man enough to back up your words

So here is the deal Darren (Jollyelm). I have been following this thread for a few days now. Any time a thread in the BST gets a lot of responses it's usually either good or bad, not in between. This one is the latter. As was pointed out, when possible and per the rules, you should consolidate threads. When you said they were days apart that is no reason not to add to a thread already going, that you started. It would be even better for you as your original list would get bumped to the top too. All of that said you are not going to continually threaten people on this board and/or act like a child for very long. Let this be a friendly warning. You are probably a good guy and I have nothing against you but this kind of behavior on THIS board is not going to be tolerated. Take it for what it's worth. Happy collecting.....and please let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything operationally on the board. thanks much.

Leon, I enjoy coming here and have met a lot of good people, but with all due respect, you're backing the wrong horse. This jerk started this whole thing, not me.

1. This is important. I didn't violate any rules. None.

2. Who is this jerk to come throwing his BS around in the thread I started? Did someone elect him to decide what everyone should be allowed to do? I don't recall that vote.

3. Any normal person who has a problem with my threads would've PM'ed me with their complaint. What this a_shole did is jump all over me in this thread with all of his made up statistics. So he's the one who decides what the reasonable percentage of total threads is ok for a member to have? Huh?? WHo gave him that power.

4. I even posted a screen shot of the board to show how silly his 'complaint' was to anyone looking at the thread. I didn't create any kind of bottleneck or anything. I had a few posts scattered about the page. He acted like there was no way past my posts. What a bag of bullsh_t. And him being such a d_ck and putting his digs at me in my thread moved said thread right to the top of the page. So he caused the very thing he was complaining about.

5. During this week I got a bunch of e-mails and PM's from various board members saying how this vintagetoppstool is always a jerk to everybody, so clearly his BS actions have a long history. And one even remarked (quite apropos to this thread) how all his "little fuzzy lap dogs" always jump in and start attacking, too.

6. I, personally, refuse to back down from these types of morons. Anonymous message board 'tough guys' who just think they can do and say whatever they want to anyone. Clearly that's this vintage guy's modus operandi. They continue to do their usual BS because almost no one ever calls them out on it. Well, he picked the wrong person to be a dick to. I don't back down. I see these types of 'tough guys' every frickin' day. And I certainly didn't threaten him. I said we should meet face to face to discuss his problems. That's all. He gave me an address in Houston. I'll check to see if it's a legitimate address, but I doubt I'll travel 1500 miles to see this idiot. He's already wasted enough of my time.

7. I guess I should also point out that he sent me a PM telling me to go 'f*** my fat mother' and then another one saying, 'go f*** your fat sister.' This shows what a class act he is, and how much of a mental giant I'm dealing with. By the way, my mother passed a few years ago and she was as thin as a rail, and my sister? She doesn't have an ounce of fat on her. I also have a brother, so I assume his next PM to me will be to tell me to go 'f*** my fat brother.' Well, sorry to disappoint him, but my bro is an absolute rock. He practically lives at the gym and we both run his precinct's half-marathon each year. Your guess is as good as mine as to why he's so obsessed with calling people fat. I guess a psychology 101 textbook would probably say that this guy must be a self-hating, morbidly obese dirtbag, who spends his nights in a dark basement typing out all of his 'tough guy' posts with his little sausage fingers, desperately trying to get attention. Who knows?

Lastly, this thread was ruined when he jumped in, so you might as well delete it. I certainly don't see any trades coming in at the moment.

Thanks for your time, Leon. Again, I appreciate you having these boards, but you honestly got to do something about people like vintagetoppsidiot, and not coddle them. His raison d'être is clearly to be a jerk to other people and I, personally, refuse to take that nonsense.

Darren- All I care about is a friendly place for collectors to come to. Just be cognizant of the rules, don't threaten members on the board (I perceived a threat) and all will be good. All of the other stuff is just noise to me. And yes, if someone said something about my mom (who passed away many years ago) I too would not be happy. I am not taking up for anyone. I just gave my opinion. The rules are the same for every board member, me included. thanks and happy collecting.

Darren,

I tried being nice to you. I asked you to PLEASE keep you similar B/S/T posts in one thread. I didn't think it was rude and I certainly wasn't trying to be a tough guy. You can have whatever opinion of me that you want to. I don't care. I was asking that you please be considerate to others, not me. When you have 8 posts one the first page, then that isn't being considerate to others (or following the rules).

Below is a screen shot of all your posts (in just this section of the B/S/T) for the month of June. There are 14 of them and 8 of them were on the first page on one day.

Suggestion: Instead of having 3 "61 Topps threads, couldn't you just edit and bump the first one instead of starting new ones? Instead of having 3 "Beat Up HOF'ers" threads, couldn't you just have added your additional scans to the first thread and bumped it? Instead of having separate Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan and Steve Carlton threads, couldn't you just have added your Ryan and Carlton scans to the original Koufax thread and edited the title to include all three?

You keep saying that you didn't violate any rules. Let me post it once again, because you are either not reading it or not understanding it.

"Items should be consolidated in the BST area, into one thread, when appropriate. In other words don’t list more than a few similar items in single threads, in the same BST area, at once. IF you do this, they will most likely be deleted and asked to be posted again in a consolidated fashion. As far as you other petty crap, grow up.
