Oldcardboard has the "Value Multiplier" at 1 for each of the three sets indicating that their value is about the same.
http://www.oldcardboard.com/t/t213/t...?cardsetID=709 But this doesn't seem to match the availability as T213-2's seem to be more common and the asking prices seem to be higher for T213-1 and T213-3. Assuming that the Oldcardboard site is wrong, what would you say is a true value multiplier for these three sets?

I would say that type 1 is definately toughest, especially in decent shape with type 3 next and type 2 easiest. So how about type 3--1.5-2x and type 1--3-4x
Type 2. Just an opinion. |

OldCardboard is flat wrong. The Series 1 cards should be 5x the Series 2 cards and Series 3 should be 4-5x the Series 2 cards. The problem with the Series 3 cards is that their color appearance (non-glossy) is so muted and "washed out" that they don't have the pizzaz of the Series 2 cards with their glossy fronts and bright colors, and therefore the appeal is to "niche collectors". Series 1 and 3 cards are very tough...
P.S. The overprinted factory backs on the Series 3 cards are at least 10x. Last edited by tbob; 03-24-2012 at 03:34 PM. |
