Here is a few I have....
"1885, National Music Company" ![]() "Dream Of Heaven"(1899) with Philip Sousa's baseball team on the back. Funny thing is, I can only find the "Three Strikes Two-Step" as being published in 1902.??? ![]() Copyright 1910 ![]() |

Sheet music...."Van Lingle Mungo"
This is a very "catchy" tune whose lyrics are simply names of BB players of the 1940's. It is titled after a very popular pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1931-1941) ![]() ![]() More info on this song can be found in this link...... http://www.baseball-almanac.com/poet...glemungo.shtml TED Z T206 Reference . |

One of the first recordings of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" was made by the Haydn Quartet in 1907 (per wikipedia). Here is a YouTube I made a few years ago of the song accompanied by images from my collection of the first class of the BB HOF.

Hiya David Nice to see you and say hi. The song came out in 1908 - so the wiki is off by a year. The Haydn Quartet recorded the song in 1908 on the Victor Record label #5570. Also that year, Harvey Hindermeyer on the Columbia Standard Disc #586 recorded it in 1908 along with the one I posted (above) of the baritone Edward Meeker - on the Edison label. edit: Here's a great source for info on the song - I received a "gift copy" from Tim Wiles for providing him with updates on the variations I was finding over the years. ![]()
