You'd think for a million dollars he'd pick up the 4.50 shipping charge.

Can someone translate the description? I can only imagine this guy getting his report card as a kid and saying "Me fail English? That's unpossible!"

Apparently the "doc" that graded it also preforms lobotomies based on this gem of a description:

"honus wagner" is "becket book" graded by "doc" 1996 t-206 and the back said "Sweet Caporal" 150 series facto just in case email me

Nah, he can't be a rogue seller. He offers a 7 day money back return policy!

So you send him the million dollars, then receive the card only to discover it's a reprint, and he will cheerfully refund your million dollars. Seems reasonable to me.

Hopefully there isn't anyone out there with a million dollars that would actually fall for that. Then again he only accepts PayPal and last I knew they had a $10,000 limit so I guess you are supposed to pay in $10,000 increments for the next 100 days.

The thing that disappoints me the most about this auction is that the buyer of this card should be getting $20,000 eBay Bucks (2% of purchase price)

Sweet - just enough to scoop up a fake Mantle Rookie!

Cheers,

Since the seller is from Las Vegas maybe it is Chumlee from Pawn Stars trying to do a little business on the side....

If you look real close at the top and right borders, you can see the outline of a slab. That has to be a cropped stolen image of the Gretzky/McNall Wagner, right?

That's what I think too. Plus there is a diagonal crease visible on the back (lower right corner), that isn't visible on the front.

You beat me to it! I agree. You have to either be totally sheltered or a nicompoop not to get a card like this graded if it is real. This guy is not sheltered and with his being in the collectible business I am sure he is no nicompoop so you have to fear the worst.
What I don't understand is that I THOUGHT eBay decreed a while back that this was one of the cards which could not appear on eBay unless it was graded. Did they change the rule or are they too busy screwing around with innocent sellers and the wording of their ads to see the elephant in the room?
