Default His .426 BA is the best....Show us your best of him ?

Of course, I am referring to Naploleon Lajoie's Batting Average in 1901. It's still the highest single season average ever in the modern era.

I'll start the show with my AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 Lajoie (batting pose).....a seldom seen T206 front/back combo. And, the Lajoie/Falken-
berg card from my T201 set.

Show us some of your tougher Lajoie cards.

Default there is just something

There is just something about very original and raw cards that I really like...Maybe it's because they are becoming more rare every day . BTW, this is not a knock on grading as almost all of my higher end cards are graded...

The T206 w/bat is one of my all-time favorite baseball cards, but since nobody has shown the E93 or E94 yet, here you go:

P.S. Sorry the E93 scan is not so sharp.

Nice cards everyone.

Rob D. - Amazing cards there, have never seen the Pinkerton before, but my favorite is the J=K. Anytime you are ready I'll trade my stack of Cory Snyder rookies for it. I know the Cleveland diehard in you can't resist.

I just realized for the first time that the T206 (Throwing) and E93 are based on the same photo! Only took me seven years to figure that out.

Scot,
There are actually quite a few T206 images reflected in various E issues. One of the most notorious is the E97 and E98 Cy Young and T206 Irv Young.

Anyone know why are have a theory why Lajoie was not included in the T205 set? He was included in the T202 but just as a middle panel--not that it relates, just saying.

Default Hey JimB

Indeed, Brian W's UZIT Lajoie (batting) is "amazing". Furthermore, all of Brian's cards are amazing.

But, you did not comment on my Lajoie (batting) with an AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 back (in my initial post here) ? ?

My friend, AB 460's and UZIT's are "kissing cousins". That is, if you find a T206 with a UZIT back, invariably it will
found with an AB 460 back (or vice-versa).

However, I've seen several UZIT Lajoie (batting) cards; but, only two Lajoie (batting) cards with an AB 460 back.

Jim.....Lajoie's AB 460 card is considerably tougher than a Lajoie UZIT card

Regards,

T-Rex TED

BINGO !

Your's is only the 3rd (perhaps the 4th) that has been accounted for. You are one of our key Net54 Lajoie collector's....so,
how tough do you consider the T206 Lajoie AB 460 card to be ?

Ted,

To be perfectly honest, it was only within the past 8-12 months that I began to focus on collecting the three different T206 Lajoie poses with all of the different backs. The AB 460 fell into my lap because a nice NET54er contacted me about it after he picked it up, I'm assuming as part of a larger group T206s.

So I'm in no position to comment on the scarcity of it.
