I thought a Wagner was once sold graded PSA 8. The population report lists the top graded Wagner as a 5Q ? Which is it ? Also only 6 listed as graded ( 2-Auth, 2 PSA-2, 1-PSA 4 and 1 PSA 5Q), I thought more than this would be graded. Any insights or thoughts on this ? Thanks Mike

Is there a picture of the PSA 5 floating around anywhere? Would love to see it...

Does anyone know if the reverse printing is severely affected by the miscut? Because I've seen much worse diamond cuts on a 5 that did not attract a (MC) qualifier...

I believe the MC is because the card is not a perfect square regardless ofthe cut. More of a trapeziod. IMO these cards usually dont get holdered at all...being that it is a Wagner...

Really? I've never heard of that before. I've seen many, many cards that are not a rectangle get slabbed and graded...literally hundreds of caramel cards...as long as it was the factory cut.

Notice how it looks like the card is kind of shoved in there...it almost looks liek the card could be damaged under those "stops" of plastic
from PSA's site "N-8 Miscut - This term is used when the factory cut is an abnormal cut. The grading fees are returned. You will be given a voucher good for another submission for the same type of service. " |

Normally, a diamond-cut card won't get an MC designation. If you look very closely at the extreme bottom of the Wagner above, you can see a small amount of the border of the card that was below it on the sheet. The way I understand it from having read the original auction listing when it was sold, the mc designation on the above card is simply due to this border being visible.

Id call it miscut for the simple fact that you can see a sliver of the card below it (bottom right corner)

Steve & Frank,
Gotcha - I had not noticed that on the card until you pointed it out! Cheers, Blair
