I wanted that Connelly, but flight was delayed and couldn't put in a higher bid.

Enjoy

Thanks lol

He doesn't come up very often, so I'm excited to win it (and at that price). I put a much higher figure in and went to bed hoping I got it. It was a nice surprise this morning.

Can I ask how high you were willing to go? I was going to go up to $300, can you at least tell me you would go higher than that, so i can sleep better tonight

That being said, I made a major pickup from the recent Huggins auction, so I guess it may have been best that I couldn't get a higher bid in.

Posted this in the Negro League thread, but thought I'd put it in here as well - I just received this small autograph album today. Has all semi-pro Brooklyn Bushwick signatures from 1944, including a fella named Gene Walsh, who was actually Gene Hermanski using an alias. The girl who owned the album included a few newspaper clippings and was very detail oriented in her book, marking the position and uniform number of each of the Bushwicks. Very interesting to me because I'm a Bushwicks collector, but on a page in the middle of a bunch of unused sheets was this one of the 1944 New York Cubans! Players are:
Rogelio Linares, 1b
Jose Vargas, cf
Gil Garrido, ut
Louis Louden, c
Hector Rodriguez, 3b
Rodolfo Fernandez, p
Dave Barnhill, p
Ameal Brooks, c & lf
Bill Anderson, p
Showboat Thomas, 1b
Claro Duany, lf
