Yes, Bruce, you are correct. It was Tip Top madness last night. I am still in mourning over being the bridesmaid on both the Wagner and the BG Johnson.

Jeff,

Are you saying you failed to realize a mega return on any of your bids?

If so, you obviously are not the purveyor we thought you were.

Rob, I won three cards but, alas, did not achieve any mega returns on the very important bids last night. Will settle for the mini-returns below:

That Mordecai Brown W600 was an excellent buy. The minor blems kept the price lower and it still has outstanding presentation.

Jeff,

While we congratulate you on your minor pickups, it's obvious you did not see the same opportunities that we did.

Of course, like others who see opportunities, we didn't actually purchase anything.

Seriously, though, nice additions.

Rob, surely you meant to use the word "whilst."

I will wait patiently whilst you edit your post.

Whilst the three fingers are conspicuously absent, the portrait of Brown is awesome.

Ed, I had to wait 12 hours for that 'whilst.' That was, indeed, a mega return.

Jeff L,

That Jones, Keyser & Arras cabinet of Mordecai Brown is one great card. From my perspective, that is definitely a MAJOR acquisition.

An interesting series. It is thought that there would be 50 baseball players in the series, but less than that have been identified. I've never seen one of these in person. Have you any others??

Great card. I like it better than the Sporting Life.

Frank, I only became aware of this issue from reading last year's Mastro catalogue in which they had a Cobb. I have never seen one before or after until the Brown the other night. It may be a 1 of 1 from what I can tell. SGC has only 9 listed in their pop report, with each having a pop of 1. PSA has graded just one -- Cobb.

Well good eye for finding Brown, and taking him home. The Whales missed that one!!

Maybe you're a mini-whale?? Congratulations.

Thanks for the validation of what we do, my man. I love collecting population rarities just as you do. I guess we kind of go against the grain of set collecting but hey...it's the way we are. I really need to come visit you sometime too!! My wife and I went to MAUI several years ago for a full week...it was our second honeymoon. Funny thing is that it rained almost everyday while we were there, at least a little bit. What a great place....you and David M are lucky guys....

There are no such things as mini-whales.

There are only winners, losers, and people with multiple personalities that mock the losers while dreaming of winning a card someday.

True, Frank & Brian; a mini-whale is, alas, a guppie.

One of our dachshunds once got his tail caught in the screen door.

Talk about a mini wail.

I be a guppy, too...

As experienced and knowledgeable as guys are on this board, I suspect that less than half have ever heard of a Jones, Keyser & Arras cabinet card. I've known of them for about 15 years... and never seen one.

Maybe someone should start a Jones, Keyser & Arras cabinet thread and post one. I wonder how many are held by board members? Again, one fine card, Jeff.
