Default vote for 1926-29

The 1926-29 Exhibit Ruth Pose is my vote for "best looking" regardless of value.

Kinda blows my mind how they stay so relatively low in value (ha, if you can find a nice one). Check out the pop figures and you are in rarified air here on PSA 5/SGC 60 and higher. That goes for other 1920's Ruth exhibits in solid mid-grade - way super low pops.

I wouldn't doubt more T206 Wagner's exist vs. the 1926-29 Ruth exhibit.

While I lust over the Baltimore News Ruth, I find its easier to like the tougher ones I have than one I'll most certainly never be able to afford: '23 Lections Ruth and 1931-32 Exhibits [portrait, from the actors/actresses set].

Re the last part of the quote--I'm pretty sure the '23-'24 Exhibit Ruth is rarer than the Wagner, as almost certainly are my two choices, but does anyone else think the '26-'29 Exhibit is tougher than the T206 Wagner?

Best regards,

Larry

Default 1949 LEAF Babe Ruth

I bought my Ruth card in the Spring of 1949. And, you can guess what I paid for this great card ?

I traded a round piece of copper with Abe Lincoln's image on it for the 1949 Ruth card.

I've been eying that one for a long time, finally found one for a reasonable price on ebay. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive...

Still in a close running with the '48 leaf IMO.

Just picked up this beauty at a seemingly very fair price.

I like the 1929 churchman cigarettes card. That is the one I think I'd pick if value was out of the equation.

I like the Churchman too. The same image is used on this Japanese postcard. Someone identified that this was from the opening day 1929.
