Good question Dan, I know Jim B has a smokin one so do you and a few others. I also spent sometime on mine too trying to get as nice an example of each that I could. Would be neat to see how many other guys have messed with this. Mine in case folks want to see. I too am up in the air on Cobb/Cobb but would love to own one either way...as soon as I get one it will be a T206 to me
![]() http://imageevent.com/piojohn3/colle...ssk7q2.camel_s ![]() Cool thing is there are always little neat items to find for not a ton of money which I think are cool and somewhat scarce too. Like this mis-strike I picked up. Lots of little things to be found if you look which is what makes this and other sets neat. ![]() Cheers, John P.S. David did you ever get around to scanning your Brown Lenox of Burch you mentioned you found in your collection? Last edited by wonkaticket; 05-30-2012 at 08:07 PM. |

probably 8 or 10 years ago I bought 2 BL 460 HOFers and a brown Lenox from Dan. About 5 or 6 years ago I traded for a Brown Old Mill from Jerry to complete my back set.
Since then I have sold both BL 460s to help pay for my girls college tuition. Currently I only need BL 460 to be complete again. There are several "tweeners" backs -some collectors know about and some are unknown. Cobb -Cobb I have never owned weather it is a t206 or not is still yet to be proven and Burdick assigned it as so so we keep it there but with it only having the Cobb back it will always be up for discussion. I know of 5 complete runs and I am minus 1 and Cobb/Cobb. Dan the collector you sold your brown Old Mill with writing on is now complete. He just picked up BL 460 and brownn Lenox.

no disrespect to Dan or Wonka (love you guys, you have incredible collections), but if the question is who has a "complete" T206 back set, i think we have to count the Cobb. therefore, so far i'm counting only one (Jim B's). i know of one other collector who posts here that has a complete back set including the Cobb...maybe he'll post in this thread.

Mike, none taken....Cobb/Cobb has always been a card that has been one way or the other for most collectors. I guess it's all where you draw the line as for the book it's labeled as a T206. This has been discussed many times etc.
I guess Dan's question is more in general terms. Said it before don't feel it's a T206 for a number of reasons but love to have one regardless. Cheers, John |
