With respect to the N48 Dixies, when you say cards with numbers, do you mean numbers only and no position? There appear to be several "types" of Dixies. I have a number "4" with no position (see attached scan). I have a "1st Base", a "Stealing Second", and a "Pitcher" all with no numbers (see attached scans). I also have a "2" "The Pitcher" that is a lithograph like a Sub Rosa that is identical to a Sub Rosa except for "Dixie" in the square (see attached scan). It is a different pose than the "Pitcher" above. I've also seen "6" "Short Stop" and "7" "Catcher" in this version of a Dixie. All of my Dixies have borders. All of my Dixies are blank back. Could you post some images of your Dixies? I haven't yet had a chance to look through my Virginia Brights. Best Regards, Craig

I've gone through my Dixies, scans from Eric, and scans I've collected from the web (sorry, I didn't document where). There seem to be 4 types of N48 Dixie, plus a couple of oddballs. The following are confirmed from the scans:
N48 Dixie Confirmed First Type: With Border, No Number, With Position 1st Base 3rd Base Pitcher Catcher Short Stop Stealing Second The Batter Second Type: With Border, With Number, No Position 1 2 4 5 8 Third Type: No Border, With Number, No Position 1 2 6 7 Fourth Type: Similar to N508 Sub Rosa 2 - The Pitcher 5 - Double Him Up! 6 - Short Stop 7 - Catcher 9 - The Champion Batter Oddballs Has Border, No Position, Possibly a "7" Black Stocking Nine Cabinet

This jumps the checklist ahead by leaps and bounds. Finally there is something tangible for collectors to refer to if they want to go after the set. A great gift to Net54.
