Ive cracked a few Fan Craze 7's from their plastic tomb as the highest graded; several 34 goudeys including a couple deans and a foxx. I busted out my psa 2 '53 topps mantle and mays. I broke open my psa2 t200 tiger card...i think it was psa 2? I love the sound of the "pop" and holding my card for the first time...just like a kid!

have cracked around 100 pre-war slabs - mostly T206s, T205s, E121s etc that I've put into binder pages. Most expensive probably in the $500 area, though on average the value is around $30 per card. Most were lower grade anyway and I've kept the slips just in case.
My 1914 CJs are both raw and slabbed, however I purchased them. And any Lionel Carter cards I've purchased remain in their slabs for the neat "provenance" factor. Rob ![]() Last edited by tiger8mush; 05-10-2012 at 05:40 PM. |

Originally submitted to PSA and it was sent back EOT. Submitted to SGC with result as shown. Sent back to PSA to try to cross which failed. (I'll never do that again!) Cracked it and resubmitted to PSA. Both the highest grade and most valuable card I have cracked. I think the card appears to be a higher grade in the SGC holder IMO.

Thanks Jeff.....that is one of those cards that isn't scarce but it's not easy to find a nice eye appeal one that doesn't cost a ton. I got it at the first Oaks show I did. Bryan Dec had it in his case and as soon as I saw it I wanted it....but I had no cash. Bryan and I got to talking and he saw a set of Sawyer Biscuits I had in my case and he told me he forgot to bid on them in the auction I won them from. We ended up working a trade and I couldn't have been happier. I had been looking for a nice one that wouldn't break the bank for several years. Sevens are a ton of money and most 5s-6s just didn't quite have the eye appeal I was looking for. I personally think the T205 Cobby is one of the best looking cards in the hobby. I know you have a very nice one too. I don't crack too many cards but I have cracked quite a few GAI ones....Even if they aren't tainted, as long as they are in a GAI holder they are... regards
