This is so cool. I am particularly thrilled by the reference to John D. Wagner in the article. He was not only one of the first collector of baseball cards, but he also was one of the early seekers of through-the-mail autographs. I've shown this many times before, but below is his correspondence with Fred Snodgrass. It appears Mr. Wagner moved between 1937 and 1960 -- but he stayed in Harrisburg and his collecting interests still included baseball cards.
